Jimmy Fallon just likes to have a good time, OK?

That's basically what NBC entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt told reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena on Wednesday.

Greenblatt quieted worried fans of the cinematic masterpiece "Taxi" by refuting rumors that "The Tonight Show" host liked to burn off steam with the bottle a little too much.

"[Jimmy] doesn't have a drinking problem that any of us know about," Greenblatt told the press. "He goes out and has fun and he's had some accidents."

"We are always worried about his safety and health and, yeah, there's been conversations about that, [but] the stories are exaggerated about all of it," he continued.

Fallon has been more accident-prone than Katherine Heigl in a romantic comedy this past year, injuring both his finger and hand in two separate incidents. The video of his hand injury, showing Fallon holding a bottle of Jäegermeister at at a Harvard Lampoon celebration, didn't help matters.

Greenblatt also said that he doesn't have the hard conversations with Fallon, but assured media folks that NBC's prized pony wasn't going anywhere.

"Jimmy is going to be fine for many years to come," he remarked. "I often say Jimmy is going to be there longer than me and longer than many of you in your jobs."

Was that a THREAT?
