Six months after a deadly tornado made Joplin a household name, people in the southwest Missouri town continue to assimilate to everyday life. Among those trying to cope with new levels of "normal," are students at Joplin High School.
The school was among the buildings completely destroyed by the May twister, and classes are being held in several temporary locations, including a mall. Upperclassmen at the school are determined to have a little fun, though, and they're rocking out to Black Eyed Peas' "Let's Get It Started," and Katy Perry's "Firework," to show the world that school spirit lives on.
