Katherine Webb Talks AJ McCarron, Brent Musburger And Posing For 'Playboy' With Carson Daly

Katherine Webb Talks AJ McCarron, Twitter And Posing For 'Playboy'

Katherine Webb is enjoying her newfound fame, but don't expect the Alabama beauty queen to appear in the pages of "Playboy" anytime soon.

Webb, the 23-year-old girlfriend of University of Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, became an overnight sensation when the camera focused on her at the Alabama-Notre Dame game on Monday night. After ESPN announcer Brent Musburger fawned over her good looks, Webb gained over 100,000 Twitter followers.

On Tuesday, Webb, who is a model and former Miss Alabama USA, gave her first interview about the post-game whirlwind to Carson Daly.

“It was just crazy," she said about Musburger's compliments and the following fame. "I was just totally flattered, yet just really kind of shocked." She went from around 2,000 followers to over 220,000 as of Wednesday. Webb previously told TMZ that she was "slightly embarrassed" by the call-out, but still flattered. She also said she doesn't think the 74-year-old Musburger is at all creepy.

Daly noted how Pamela Anderson was discovered in a similar fashion. In 1989, Anderson's image flashed on the JumboTron at a football game she was attending, and she was later asked to pose for "Playboy." Daly asked Webb if she would ever consider baring it all for the men's magazine.

“Coming from the South, from Alabama, you don’t really want to do anything that your grandma might be embarrassed [by]," she said. "You know the farthest I would probably ever go is probably a swimsuit."

As for her love life, Webb revealed to Daly that she and McCarron have only been dating for a little over a month and that he is a "momma's boy."

Webb and McCarron met via Twitter, according to E! News. The two began tweeting, which then turned to texting and phone calls, and then they finally met in person. "She had met guys in Los Angeles but none of them were right, and so he came along at the right time," a source told E! News. "She's a good girl. All she wanted was to meet a nice southern guy and he swept her off her feet."

The silver screen could be next for the 23-year-old beauty. Webb moved to L.A. recently and is "looking to do some acting," according to E! News.
