Kathy Griffin Explains Why Fox News Is The 'Bane Of Her Existence'

Comedian Kathy Griffin is no fan of Fox News, and she recently told HuffPost Live that she finds the network even more irritating because her mother watches it.

She said she used to "hate watch" Fox News for comedic material, but continued, "The bane of my existence... is that my 94-year-old alcoholic mother calls Bill O'Reilly her boyfriend."

"That's a bitter pill to swallow," she added. "And she thinks that Sean Hannity... delivers news."

Griffin's mom might not have been too pleased then when O'Reilly called her a "pinhead." The Fox News host did, however, name Griffin's mom "a patriot" in 2010 for being such a big fan.

Griffin told HuffPostLive she was resigned to her mother's viewing choices, which she described as being "'Judge Judy' or Fox News, and some boxed wine." "Judge Judy," of course, is the number one syndicated show on daytime TV.
