The U.S. Justice Department filed a lawsuit against Kent State University on Monday for violating the Fair Housing Act, according to The Plain Dealer of Cleveland.

The incident occurred in 2010 when the university did not allow a student who suffered from anxiety attacks to have a dog in her apartment. The dog was not a trained service dog.
