Kourtney Kardashian opened up about dealing with anxiety in a letter she shared on her website Monday.

"When I was pregnant with Reign, I knew that I was going to go hard at working out afterwards," she wrote on KourtneyKardashian.com. "I couldn't wait to feel strong and in shape again. I didn't know that I would be going through a break up and just an overall crazy year."

The mother of three split from her partner Scott Disick back in July after nine years together. Reports circulated about Disick's substance abuse issues and alleged cheating on the reality star.

"Everyone deals with hard times in their lives differently. I'm generally not a nervous person but I get anxious. I also get nauseous and feel like I can't eat when it is really bad, but I force myself to stay healthy."

Kardashian has turned to exercise for relief, and has shared photos of her workouts on Instagram.

Working out is one of the only things that helps when I'm feeling anxious. 💪🏼

The 36-year-old cautioned about passing judgment in her essay, as well.

"People are very quick to judge others by appearances but you truly don't know what someone's motivation is or what is going on inside them. For me, exercise is as much about my body as it is about calming my mind."
