Hubert Barrere, known for his designs of corsets, has collaborated with leading luxury brands such as Dior, Chanel, and Dolce Gabbana. In 1996, he received the Grand Prix de la Mode de la Ville de Paris. Also artistic director of the embroiderer Hurel, the fashion designer was elected president of the Paris Fashion Group in 2008.
