Law enforcement officials confirmed to Us Weekly that McAllister overdosed on prescription pills and was hospitalized on Saturday. She died on Tuesday morning after family members decided to withdraw life support. Authorities told Entertainment Tonight that they believe her death to be a suicide.

McAllister appeared on Season 14 of the reality dating show where she competed for the love and attention of Jake Pavelka, but was sent home after the first week. She later made headlines for chiming in when Season 14 winner Vienna Girardi and Pavelka broke up.

McAllister's death follows that of fellow former "Bachelor" contestant Gia Allemand, who died in 2013.

UPDATE: A rep for ABC told The Huffington Post in a statement:

“In the short time that we knew Lex, she was a lovely person inside and out. She will be missed by the entire Bachelor family, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.”
