Maksim Chmerkovskiy Calls Hope Solo 'A S**tty Person' And She Responds

"If you are just a bad person, you know what I mean? There's no excuse for that."

Maksim Chmerkovskiy called out his former "Dancing with the Stars" partner, U.S. Women's National Soccer Team goalkeeper Hope Solo, on a recent podcast, and he did not hold back. Chmerkovskiy was partnered with the soccer player on Season 13 of "DWTS."

"She's just a shitty person. People can be bad or good or whatever," said Chmerkovskiy on "Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss." "You can have a shitty life growing up. You can have a tough upbringing. You can have history. You can have whatever. But if you are just a bad person, you know what I mean? There's no excuse for that."

The former "DWTS" pro also played the game "Fuck, Marry, Kill" on the podcast and said that he would "kill" the soccer player.

"I would probably marry somebody like -- Misty May-Treanor was awesome. And she's an amazing chick." said the dancer. "And I would definitely kill Hope Solo."

Solo didn't take too kindly to Chmerkovskiy's comments and appeared to tweet back at him. In her tweet, "Dancing with the Stars" judges are seen holding up "1" on their scorecards:

Solo famously wrote about her experience on "DWTS" in her 2013 book, Solo: A Memoir of Hope, and claimed that Chmerkovskiy hit her multiple times:

He manhandled me in rehearsals from the start, pushing me, whacking my stomach, bending my arms roughly. I thought that was just how it went -- how dancers worked with each other. But it kept getting worse. One day, Maks was trying to put me in a certain position and hit my stomach so hard with his open palm that I had a red handprint there for the rest of the day.

Solo is currently facing domestic assault charges following a 2014 incident with her nephew and half-sister.
