Man Allegedly Tries To Pick Up Prostitute With 7-Year-Old In Car

A Pennsylvania man is behind bars after police said he tried to solicit a prostitute while a 7-year-old child was sitting in the back seat.

Anthony Johnson, 26, of Bon Air, was arrested early Saturday morning by an undercover officer carrying out a prostitution sting on the side of the road.

The officer said Johnson drove up in a Chevrolet Impala just after midnight. The officer said after some small talk, Johnson offered to pay her for sex, PennLive.com reports.

Johnson was taken into custody without incident. A police search of the vehicle uncovered a baggie containing about 6 grams of crack cocaine, $4,145 in cash and three cell phones.

Johnson's 7-year-old child was in the back of his vehicle at the time, according to TribLive.com.

Johnson was charged with endangering the welfare of children, possession with intent to deliver, patronizing a prostitute and driving on a suspended license.

He remains in the Allegheny County Jail on $10,000 bond, according to WPXI.com.

The child is now in the custody of the mother, according to PennLive.com.
