McCartney's Golden Moment: Stars Celebrate Sir Paul's Golden Globe Nomination

In a weekend better known for its unabashed celebration of movies and television, music giants gathered at an intimate, private lunch at Hollywood's Sunset Tower hotel Saturday to toast Sir Paul McCartney. His song "(I Want To) Come Home" for the Robert DeNiro film "Everybody's Fine" is nominated for a Golden Globe Award.

Music legends Ringo Starr, Sir Elton John, The Eagles' Joe Walsh, composers David Foster, Hans Zimmer and Diane Warren mingled with film directors Sean Levy, John Turtletaub and actor Woody Harrelson (who reportedly sat with Sir Paul the night before at the Critics Choice awards) at the casual, all-vegetarian lunch.

The host, Disney President Bob Iger, toasted McCartney, thanking him for talking the studio out of using the Beatles' classic "Let It Be" for the film, instead writing "(I Want To) Come Home" exclusively fo r "Everybody's Fine."

McCartney and his lovely girlfriend, Nancy Shevell, kicked off awards season the evening before appearing at the Critics Choice Awards, and will attend Sunday's Golden Globes. Given the commotion Sir Paul caused at the Critics Choice Awards as fans and well-wishers flocked to his table, we're guessing an Oscar nomination may be the next nod in Sir Paul's direction.
