Melania Trump Might Have Just Rickrolled Everyone

But really.

Melania Trump, wife of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, made headlines on the first night of the 2016 Republican National Convention when she delivered a speech that included portions plagiarized from a speech given by Michelle Obama in 2008.

But she might have also rickrolled everyone.

Rickrolling is a prank involving the 1987 music video for Rick Astley’s song “Never Gonna Give You Up.” When a user opens a link and unexpectedly sees this video playing, they’ve been rickrolled:

The lyrics to the chorus include the lines, “Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down. Never gonna run around and desert you.”

In her speech on Monday, Melania Trump made a similar statement about her husband.

“If you want someone to fight for you and your country, I can assure you, he is the ‘guy,’” she said. “He will never, ever, give up. And, most importantly, he will never, ever, let you down.”
