Mike Tirico Says Goodbye To ESPN In The Best Way Possible

So classy.

After some acrimonious departures from ESPN in the past year or so, the warm farewell Thursday to longtime ESPN announcer Mike Tirico provided a refreshing change.

Tirico, an ESPN regular for 25 years, said a heartfelt goodbye from Euro 2016 in Paris before he begins a new gig for NBC Sports. ESPN's Bob Ley told his colleague: "There's no one anywhere who has worked with you who is not thrilled for this next step for you and your family and your career and your life."

Tirico, clearly touched, said, "This has been great, top to bottom. I think 25 years is something, like, over 9,000 days. Every one of those days ESPN has been a part of my life."

Colleagues and crew shook his hand and applauded as he bid his final adieus.

Now that's the way to leave a job.
