Mizzou Football Players Celebrate University President's Resignation

"Social change is a beautiful thing."

University of Missouri president Tim Wolfe resigned Monday under pressure from students, staffers and athletes critical of his response to racial tensions on campus.

As part of the protest, Mizzou's football team, with the support of coach Gary Pinkel, vowed not to participate in any football-related activities until Wolfe stepped down. The team threatened to skip games, at an estimated cost to the university of more than $1 million.

Here's how some Mizzou players past and present reacted to the news of Wolfe's resignation:

Marcell Frazier, defensive end
Grant Jones, outside linebacker
Danario Alexander, former wide receiver
Byron Chamberlain, former tight end
Josh Moore, defensive end
Clarence Green, linebacker
Brock Bondurant, safety
In followup tweets, Bondurant added "Bring on the Cougars," and, "I can't describe the feeling when you realize that God hears you. You've been asking God something for so long and then He gives it to you."
Paul Adams, offensive tackle
Michael Sam, former defensive end
Eddie Serrano, defensive lineman
