Patrick Dempsey Remembers 'Can't Buy Me Love' Co-star Amanda Peterson

"Gone too soon."

Patrick Dempsey is mourning the loss of his former "Can't Buy Me Love" co-star Amanda Peterson, who was found dead in her Colorado home on July 5 at the age of 43.

The former "Grey's Anatomy" star took to Twitter on Tuesday to express his grief:

Dempsey starred opposite Peterson in the 1987 teen movie, where he played school nerd Ronald Miller, who pays popular cheerleader Cindy Mancini (Peterson) $1,000 to pretend to be his girlfriend for a month.

Peterson's cause of death is still unknown, however, her father told TMZ that she "had some illness and a sleep apnea problem that may have contributed."
