PROTECT OUR PUBLIC LANDS TOUR: FOR A JUST AND RENEWABLE ENERGY FUTURE JULY 18-31, 2016

From July 18-31, 2016, over twenty Indigenous storytellers and elders will be caravanning across the U.S. on the Protect Our Public Lands Tour to:

• Visit frontline communities from California to Philadelphia, documenting the stories of Native American community members and intertribal coalitions working hard to transition from toxic energy industries to a just and renewable energy future;

• Enable indigenous community members to speak at the Summit for a Clean Energy Revolution and participate in the March for a Clean Energy Revolution in Philadelphia, PA, where one of our demands is for the Protect Our Public Lands Act (POPLA). If passed by the U.S. Congress, this Act will stop all fracking on U.S. public lands; and

• Collect evidence and personal testimony for the International Permanent Peoples’ Tribunal on the Human Rights Impacts of Fracking.
