The spoils of an NFL playoff victory were sweet for Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb on Sunday night. After taking down Washington's NFL team 35-18 on the road, the Packers' star pass-catcher only had one reaction to the wild card win, as seen above: "YOU LIKE THAT?!"
Hell, even traveling Packers fans were thinking the same thing, drowning out Washington's home fans with booming "YOU LIKE THAT?" taunts near the end of the Packers' win.
Packers cornerback Damarious Randall had the same feeling too. Everyone's on the same page: We like that.
Before the Packers crushed Washington's season, "You like that?!" was a victorious, exalting catchphrase coined by Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins, once known as the most frequently intercepted quarterback in NFL history, in October after launching a comeback victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Since Cousins' viral moment of passion, he went on to drastically improve his performance, lead Washington to the playoffs after a poor start and generally have one of the better quarterbacking seasons of 2015.
Sunday night in Washington, however, there was nothing for Cousins to like. Consistently under duress from an athletic Packers' front seven, Cousins was sacked six times for a total loss of 59 yards.
Cobb, on the other hand, was the Packers' primary weapon on offense all night, rushing the ball five times for 24 yards and catching three passes for 38 yards, including this touchdown, which sparked a game-changing run of 17 unanswered points by the Packers after being down 11-0 early on.
Could the Packers' jacking of "You like that?!" provide the jump-start for a recently maligned, once high-powered offense? With the wind and a clear sense of confidence renewed within the offense, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers believes as much.
“This is huge for us, it really is,” Rodgers said to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “I talked a lot the last couple of weeks about being able to turn it on. A lot of you probably thought that this was lip service. But we just needed a game like this to get our mojo back. We got our confidence going. I said this week, it just takes one -- one performance to get us going back in the right direction and believing we can make a run.”
Cobb's confidence is certainly leading the charge.
