Accused Train Masturbator Done In By Own DNA

A registered sex offender is behind bars after his DNA was found on the pant leg of a woman who accused him of masturbating on her.

The alleged incident happened Oct. 6 on the No. 4 train in New York City.

The 41-year-old victim told police that a man later identified as 50-year-old Rodney Pierre masturbated on her pants leg while they were both on the train at about 7:45 p.m., according to the New York Daily News.

The victim didn’t realize what had happened until she left the train and realized her pants and leg were wet, according to Gothamist.com.

A woman who said she witnessed Pierre’s alleged activity told the victim that a man had masturbated on her.

Both women then reported the alleged sexual abuse to police, and the victim gave up her pants as evidence.

Police analyzed bodily fluid on the pants and discovered it matched Pierre’s DNA, which was in the system from at least one other previous attack, according to the New York Post.

Pierre is a Level 3 sex offender, which denotes both a high risk of repeat offense and a threat to public safety.

He has been in the state’s sex offender registry for a similar incident in 1993, according to the Daily News.

Pierre has six prior arrests, mostly for sex crimes, including an arrest in February for persistent sex abuse, according to the Post.

Pierre was arraigned Saturday on charges of forcible touching, sex abuse and harassment.
