After “Sausage Party” debuted in theaters earlier this year, the Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg project became the highest-grossing animated movie with an R rating of all time. Made on roughly a $19 million budget, the movie earned around $136 million internationally.

In an exclusive clip below, (tied to today’s digital release of the film) Rogen and Goldberg admit that much of the credit should go to the animated team.

“Working with great animators who bring a whole other level of humor and emotion ... ” Rogen starts a thought in the clip. Goldberg further explains, “A line that lands flat they can make incredible by just increasing the smile and making the eyes a little bigger.”
