Scott Brown Lists Massachusetts As Employer In N.H. Campaign Filing

Former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown's heart may be set on winning a seat in New Hampshire, but his head is apparently still stuck in the Bay State.

At least that could be the conclusion based on a report Thursday morning from New Hampshire's WMUR, which noticed the Republican listed himself as being a state senator in Massachusetts on a $244 donation he gave himself on Sept. 9. The listing is part of Brown's latest campaign finance filing with the Federal Election Commission.

The campaign declined to explain the gaffe to WMUR, and did not immediately respond to a HuffPost query about the document.

Brown was a Massachusetts state senator when he won a special election to represent the state in the U.S. Senate in 2010. He lost his seat to Elizabeth Warren in 2012, and moved to New Hampshire very shortly before declaring his candidacy there, but, as WMUR notes, the carpetbagger charge hasn't seemed to bother him much, so far.

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) is narrowly leading Brown in HuffPost Pollster's Senate model.
