'Sesame Street' Parodies 'True Blood' With Less Blood And More Mud

Now You Can Finally Watch 'True Blood' With Your Kids, Sort Of

With its graphic depictions of sex and violence, "True Blood" isn't exactly a family friendly TV show. But this "Sesame Street" parody of the show can certainly be watched before bedtime.

In time for the June 22nd premiere of "True Blood's" seventh and final season, "Sesame Street" released "True Mud: The Yuckiest Show on Television." From the country-blues theme song to Bill Compton's signature bangs, the parody is spot on, but of course it adds a PG twist.

Instead of blood, the sullen male protagonist is seeking mud, which according to "True Mud" folklore, means he is a (gasp!) "grouch." His request for mud paves the way for a lesson in rhyming -- the characters around him mistakenly bring him a spud, a dud, a man named Bud, and even cud before finally getting it right.

It's a muddy delight.
