Sheri Salata has been working for Oprah Winfrey for more than two decades, so she knows for a fact that the media mogul's famous slogan, "Live your best life," is not an empty platitude.

As co-president of the Oprah Winfrey Network and president of Harpo Productions, Salata, who Arianna Huffington aptly described as "the visionary behind the visionary," is truly walking the walk, living out her own dream of the life she always wanted.

"I define success as meaning," Salata says in a new HuffPost Originals video. "As long as I'm in alignment and lined up with meaning, everything else falls into place."

The media executive finds that meaning and purpose in her own work by creating what she calls "little pieces of light" for audiences at OWN, like Super Soul Sunday and Oprah's Master Class.

Since she was in her early 20s, Salata had a dream for the kind of company she'd like to work for -- a place of learning and growth where she was exposed to new ideas and connected deeply with others who shared a common vision.

Now, she's leading that company. Salata turns her back-to-back daily meetings into opportunities to sit around the table, connect with her teams and find inspiration in new ideas. "I've decided I love meetings," she said.

Salata also makes sure that her employees are able to live their best lives, too, bringing perks like yoga and SoulCycle classes into the office.

"We're always figuring out what adds energy and life," she said.

Check out the video above to learn more about how Salata finds meaning in her work and encourages her employees to live their best lives. Salata's story is the latest episode of Pioneers, a new HuffPost Originals series that profiles leaders in various industries who have redefined success by making it their mission to live more meaningful and less stressful lives.
