20 Years Of SI Swimsuit Covers Prove Exactly Why We Needed A Shake-Up

Times they are a-changin'

Sports Illustrated might be known for its sports coverage, but ever since 1964, the magazine has devoted an entire issue to steamy models in swimwear.

Looking back at the swimsuit editions over the years, not much changed ... until this past weekend, when the glossy made history. For the first time in over 50 years, the highly anticipated annual issue featured three women, representing three different body types. Plus-size model Ashley Graham received her own cover, as did UFC fighter Ronda Rousey and model Hailey Clauson.

To prove just how monumental Saturday's unveiling really was, we decided to look at SI's swimsuit covers from the past 20 years to draw a comparison. Check them out below and join us in celebrating the fact that an iconic mag is finally celebrating women of all shapes and sizes.
