This week, it was announced that Patrick Dempsey of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Enchanted” fame is People’s 2023 “Sexiest Man Alive” honoree at age 57.
“I’m glad it’s happening at this point in my life,” Dempsey told People. “It’s nice to have the recognition, and certainly my ego takes a little bump, but it gives me the platform to use it for something positive.”
Dempsey is the latest AARP-aged looker to turn heads on a national level. All fall, viewers have been falling for Gerry Turner, the 71-year-old grandpa and star of ABC’s “Bachelor” spinoff, “The Golden Bachelor.”
Up until this season, “The Bachelor” franchise ― the original “Bachelor,” “The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor in Paradise” ― has largely focused on the love lives of people in their 20s and their 30s, so the new show is a real representation win for older viewers.
As many fans have noted, Turner, a retired restaurateur, is easy on the eyes. (With that tan, he certainly puts the golden in “The Golden Bachelor.”)
