Last week Sony invited my good friend Zev Green -- of Dads On Tech -- and I to take a first look at Move for Sony PlayStation. I was actually rather excited to experience Move - mainly because I have already played with a nearly finish Kinect for XBOX 360; last month. I was very anxious to see how Move compared to Kinect.

As many of you know PlayStation Move is not simply a wireless controller - it's an ecosystem. The game play is primarily focused on the Move motion controller -- color changing sphere, vibration feedback and simple to use button interface. The motion controller is also fitted with a three-axis gyroscope, three-axis accelerometer and terrestrial magnetic field sensor. All the while the Move Eye camera detects the position of the controller in 3D space -- producing a very tight game play. I experienced some minor calibration issues but I will caulk it up to user error.

We played a number of games but the most exciting was Sports Champions. The game consists of -- Golf, Gladiator Duel, Beach Volleyball, Archery, Table Tennis and Bocce. Gladiator Duel was one of our favorite games and we worked up a sweat with Table Tennis.

Sony is trying to make your decision to purchase a PlayStation Move as simple as possible. Here is a list that might be able to assist you in your decision:

The PlayStation Move will hit stores on September 19th. Sony is expected to release nearly 50 games this holiday season. The games range from Sports Champions to Heavy Rain to Resident Evil 5. In the short time we spent with Move -- we not only enjoyed it but appreciated the motion controller. A controller will especially come in very handy when playing a first person shooter - like The Shoot.
Keep an eye out for the "PlayStation Move for PS3: Live the Experience" series on the Huffington Post. The series will be presented by
. We will be inviting family and friends to experience Move and give their thoughts on how they liked the new gaming experience -- so stay tuned.
