Sophia Loren Says 'The Roles Change' As You Get Older In Hollywood

"It becomes a little more difficult sometimes ... "

Sophia Loren has said it before and she'll say it again -- she's not going to retire anytime soon.

In a new interview with W magazine, the 81-year-old Italian actress talked about growing older and how it's affected the roles she receives in Hollywood.

"Of course, the roles change -- you cannot at my age do the story of a woman of 30 or 40 years old," Loren said. "It's impossible. It’s a very normal way of being in the movies all the time and changing roles. It becomes a little more difficult sometimes, but if you have faith in what you do, and if you have faith in yourself, a little time goes by and you can find the right thing for you still."

Loren assured the magazine that she plans to keep acting, though it all depends on the right role.

"By the way, I look very well," said the actress. "I look fantastic. I'm laughing, but everybody says so. Everybody says so! Sometimes I don’t believe them anymore, but they are very convincing."

Loren's good looks are all natural, as she previously told ABC News that she's wary of going under the knife.

"I like myself," Loren said. "I like my skin. I don’t want anybody to take it away from me. So I couldn’t do anything, really. But if it becomes a problem, it’s up to you."
