Learning "How To Work A Room"

Best-selling author, Susan RoAne, is an expert when it comes to talking to strangers. Her most recent book, How To Work A Room, explains all the benefits that can be gained from understanding the art of networking. After all, meeting new people and putting herself in seemingly uncomfortable situations has helped Susan succeed both professionally and personally.

"My life has been totally charmed by relationships," Susan mentioned during our Huffington Post #TalkToMe video interview.

Some additional words of wisdom Susan also shared include:

A major portion of American adults identify as shy. Next time you go to an event, know that you are part of the 90 percent. Get to know someone who is great at networking and copy their behavior - practice makes perfect!

Go to organizations, be active and interact with people you don't know because you never know where that nugget will be!

By the way, when I was a teacher, I thought that promotion was all about sending a kid from 4th grade to 5th grade. But I soon learned, as an entrepreneur, promotions come when you go to organizations and are active.
