A battalion commander at the Setermoen military camp told The Local he wanted to give a "special welcome" to the cyclists of the Arctic Race of Norway when they passed through the area so he sent out what he called the most important vehicle in the Norwegian Army: a Leopard 2A4 tank.

The four-stage race was held from August 13-16 and covered nearly 450 miles.
