On Thursday, after Taylor Swift got her first taste of what it feels like to be on the wrong side of the Internet for half a second, the pop star apologized for starting drama with Nicki Minaj over Twitter on Tuesday.

I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I'm sorry, Nicki. @NICKIMINAJ

Swift thought Minaj's beef with MTV was somehow directed at her after the rapper took issue with the fact that "Anaconda" failed to garner nominations for Video of the Year and in the professional category of Best Choreography. Minaj was also unclear as to how her and Beyoncé's song, "Feeling Myself," failed to be nominated for anything.

When Minaj tweeted, "If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year," Swift seemed to think that the rapper was talking about her "Bad Blood" video, which received nominations for Video of the Year -- and happens to feature a ton of supermodels.

"@NICKIMINAJ I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot.." Swift ever-so-misguidedly tweeted.

Minaj responded by retweeting a fan who wrote, "@taylorswift13 stop using 'support all girls' as an excuse to not be critical of racist media that benefits and glorifies you."

After Swift's apology, it seems like she gets that now.

Update: Swift has been forgiven.

That means so much Taylor, thank you. @taylorswift13 ❤️❤️❤️
