Teenage Jodie Foster Was The Epitome Of Tomboy Chic In A Newsboy Cap (PHOTO)

Starting her career at the of age three, Jodie Foster was in major movies like "Taxi Driver" and "The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane" by the time she was a preteen. But unlike most child actors who fold under the pressure of growing up in the limelight (and make debatable fashion choices), Foster stayed grounded, went to Yale and developed an understated sense of style that we're still obsessed with.

Known for enjoying her privacy and never being too flashy, Foster has a relaxed approach to clothes -- often opting for basics and monochromatic looks. As for makeup, she has a similar no-fuss attitude. "I had to take my makeup off at work every night," she once said. "I wasn't allowed to do it at home because my mom said that when your work day is done, you're done with work." On her rare trips down the red carpet, the young actress typically opted for a bare-face and always looked radiant.
