#Plant 14 has officially started on the farm here in North Dakota. While I am happy the angst of this late spring has been diminished while my husband gets some time in the tractor to clear his head, the adjustment of getting back into farming season is rough. 10 Farmwife Realities That it is Farming Season Again

2. Your life will revolve around the weather... Did it rain? How much? Praying for rain, praying for no rain. It's a never ending battle.

3. You will spend time in the tractor/sprayer/combine with your husband... just so that you can talk to him/see him more than 1 hour a weekend.

4. Your neat meal time of 7:00 pm you've had throughout the winter will now be "whenever is convenient". Could be 5:00 pm and could be 10:00 pm. You never really know.

5. You quickly realize how much gas you consume during this time of the year. You will be driving to and from fields multiple times a day -- delivering meals, delivering parts, moving equipment from field to field.

6. You know that king size bed you've got? It's that time of the year you can sleep in the middle, stretch out! It will be a while before he's home and pushing you over to get his few hours of sleep.

7. You never thought you'd say it but you will be longing for winter again soon. It's such a quiet time of year.

8. Vacations are no longer possible... unless it rains... Then maybe, maybe you may get to take a day trip together. Summer weddings? Forget it. It's just easier to RSVP no.

9. It's that time of year when you start on your "hobbies" again. Remember those things you only have time for during this time of the year?

10. Despite all the stress, adjustments, and overall busyness, it's the most beautiful time of the year. The grass is green, the crops are growing, and the sun shines. Enjoy it!
