So I got this great question:

"Christine, how is it possible to get premium pricing for my stuff when I can’t compete with the gurus and be everywhere like them? I mean, if I’m utterly unknown compared to the “industry titans”, how can I present top-tier pricing for my consulting when nobody knows who I am? I saw your email where you said your HERO Way Sales and Marketing System shows us how to sell without being hypey, salesy, pushy, needy or manipulative, but I just don't see how it's possible."

Oh, it's possible.

In fact, it's based on the old African proverb I learned from Maya Angelou. Here’s the paraphrase, “don't trust the naked man who offers you his shirt.”

A great many entrepreneurs are giving their best stuff away for free. The idea is that the beneficiary of their gift is so grateful, they decide to buy a product or service with a price tag. That’s a recipe for disaster for the one-man army type business; especially, when they can’t afford to wait months to make a profit. You don’t have to ‘move the free line” and betray your fundamental nature just to fit into the crazy, noisy world of sales and marketing.

When you get off the self-promotion merry-go-round and base your business on the servant-hood of producing results for your clients (100% of the time), that's when you're positioned to get the results you want for your family, business and community... even if you are “utterly unknown”.

No, you won't get financially free overnight, but you can get financially stable. Get out of survival mode. Actually have extra money in the bank after all your bills are paid. And, little by little, bit by bit, your financial stability evolves into financial freedom.

That's why it's vital that you communicate what you do in a way that prospects instantly and automatically “get” the inherent value of the solution you provide. This is especially important for us results-driven entrepreneurs because we do what ever it takes to deliver our clients desired outcomes.

Moreover, it's mandatory that the marketplace doesn’t look at us like the gurus who are very accepting of the industry 70-99% failure rate (depending on who you talk to) - and have the nerve to blame their clients for the failures! We are different. We are committed to our clients success. For us, failure is not an option!

That’s why you have to make the shift.

Let me explain, most of the people on the outside looking in to my publishing and media business are challenged by (what they believe) is the complexity of becoming a published author; they’re under the false assumption that the hard parts of doing my work is writing the three “Trilogy of Triumph” books, publishing them to kindle, running the Amazon Best Seller campaigns, integrating the three kindle books into a “Signature Success System” physical book, doing the cover designs, front matter, back matter, editing, proofreading and all the other menial activities.

That couldn't be further from the truth...

That’s some of the what I do. Truth be told, I’m not a book publisher or media strategist. I just use those mediums to position my clients with influence, authority and credibility. Another truth is your success is not about what you do, how many certifications you have or even being the best at what you do. Just to be clear, the WHAT of what you do is almost irrelevant.

How can that be true?

Glad you asked. HOW you do what you do is vital and WHY you do what you do is even more vital. That’s the real challenge you face as a results-driven entrepreneur.

The challenge is getting clear on you, your intentions and positioning yourself to radiate your purpose so you're living your ideal lifestyle with a business that supports your life and grows your business through meaning and internal drive.

The challenge is getting clear on who you're going to serve and what is the transformational value that you know you can deliver to them, without a shadow of a doubt, on a consistent and predictable basis so you can package your calling in a way that compels people, who have never even heard of you before, to invest in themselves at premium price points on-the-spot!

The challenge is how to produce results so you actually make a profit so you can communicate with the people you're called to serve without catering to their limitations... and at the same time, holding your vision for them that's bigger than their current reality; in an intentional sacred space that serves their highest good... even if there is no agreement.

That's the heart and soul of what will position you for premium pricing without the dog-and-pony show of giving samples of your work away — for free — to prove you’re worthy of receiving payment from the people you help.

It’s the shift from a self-promotion mindset to a servant-hood mindset; and, servant-hood is not about slavery - it's about honoring, cultivating and protecting life. That's the work.

Everything else has a price tag that can be paid for by the hour. Everything else can be outsourced. Everything else may be useful, but not necessarily meaningful. That’s why this work is an inside job. Luckily, for us results-driven entrepreneurs, that's where we're at our best. Are you up for the challenge?
