
North America’s premiere art fair is quickly descending upon Miami for Art Basel 2016. Not only does it attract the most iconic global art scenes, but with all of the celebrities and socialites that come along with it nobody’s going to judge if you get some partying done while you’re here also.
Between Miami’s nightlife and Art Basel combined, this is the time to rub elbows with the “it” crowd. Pretend all you want, but if there’s one thing Miami exceeds at – it’s partying.
Here’s your guide to Miami’s go-to nightlife destinations during Basel:
1.) Basement at The Miami Beach EDITION
Meet the multidimensional entertainment hub in Miami Beach. Basement at The Miami Beach EDITION promises to be a hot spot for Art Basel after parties because it’s not your average “club.” Basement features not just a nightclub, but a bowling alley and ice-skating rink all in one.
2.) FDR at Delano
This is a South Beach classic. The Delano is always buzzing during Art Basel day and night. Whether it be an exclusive pool party, a lobby installation or a pop-up club with a mighty strict door, FDR, but tough door aside, the Delano is an essential stop during Art Basel 2016.
3.) Pearl Champagne Lounge at Nikki Beach
Lounge or burlesque show? Either way, it doesn’t matter how you define it because you’ll get both at Pearl Champagne in Nikki Beach. Dedicated to VIPs, Pearl at Nikki Beach tends to see a strong lineup of private parties during Art Basel. Not to mention the luxurious oceanfront address at the South of Fifth, coupled with it’s iced out décor isn’t so bad too.
4.) Rec Room at The Gale
Not just during Art Basel, but year round you can find Rec Room at The Gale as a hot spot for locals in Miami. Expect an impressive lineup of DJs, collaborations and strong parties every night.
5.) 1 Hotel Rooftop
This rooftop lounge sits 17 sexy stories high in the sky right near the Atlantic Ocean with sweeping 360 degree views. The 1 Hotel Rooftop will attract Basel partygoers because their always hosting their fair share of Art Basel gigs. If you can beat the views, just try to beat the infinity pool, bar or restaurant, which will be quite hard.
6.) Sugar at EAST Miami
Welcome 40 stories high to the top of the EAST Miami hotel, one of the impressive additions to Miami’s recently opened Brickell City Center. Sugar is already a buzz worthy hot spot with EAST Miami having just opened. EAST Miami being tightly partnered with local brands and small business, it’ll be quite the place to see and be seen during Art Basel.
7.) Mondrian
Art-lovers will enjoy an after-party at this destination, still celebrating art. Overlooking Biscayne Bay, a design scheme is inspired by Sleeping Beauty’s castle and the Mondrian is always known for delivering a strong Art Basel presence.
