It's the perfect time of year for a crab salad - but can you really make it at home? We went to Chinese Tuxedo to find out.

Recipe:

For the dressing:

1/3 cup Rice vinegar

1/4 cup sugar

1.4 tbs Mirin

3 tbs White Soy Sauce

Seasme Oil - 6.5ml

1.5 tsp Light soy sauce

2 cloves Garlic, finely chopped

1 Shallot, finely chopped

Combine all liquids together in a small sized mixing bowl. Add Sugar. Whisked until sugar is dissolved (about 1 minute). Combine garlic then shallots. Toss.

For the salad:

1 bunch Pea sprouts (available at your local farmers market)

1 cob of Sweet corn

1/2 cup honey crisp apple, cut in to match stick size

Small handful of parsley leaves

Small handful of cilantro leaves

1lb of crab meat (preferably Maine crab for its sweetness), shredded.

Combine all of your salad ingredients in a medium sized mixing bowl. Toss two tablespoons of dressing. Using your hands light toss the salad together (be careful not to crush the ingredients!). Enjoy!
