1. High fashion upgrades from designers including Alexander Wang, DKNY, Toga, Kenzo, Chanel, Chloe, and more have rendered the bag style chic. Their versions, which boast everything from patterned leather and belt-like buckles to bright hues and luxurious textures, are worlds away from the canvas and polyester iterations of days past. The most influential designers in the world think fanny packs are chic enough for them to include in their collections so even if you don’t trust us to tell you they are stylish, trust them. After all, they are THE trend-makers.

2. They are also extremely convenient. A favorite of the music festival-going crowd, fanny packs make it easy to move around without having to worry about a crossbody bag flopping around on your thigh or a backpack sending shooting pains up your spine. What’s more, anything you need is literally right in front of you. They could not be more handy.

3. All the cool girls are wearing them. Seriously. As of late, celebrities including Kendall Jenner, Gilda Ambrosio, Rihanna, and Cara Delevingne have all been spotted wearing their own belt bags, both at music festivals and during regular jaunts on the street. They are clearly a new it-girl staple.

4. Your chances of getting pick-pocketed will go WAY down if your valuables are strapped tight to your torso. Why do you think tourists took to wearing fanny packs in the first place?
