This Video Proves Growing Up With A Latina Mom Is Like A Box Of Chocolates

When you grow up with a Latina mom, you realize at a young age that things around the house are rarely what they seem.

As the latest video from Buzzfeed's PeroLike channel shows, in a Latino household a tin of delicious Danish cookies rarely has cookies in it, a butter container is usually storing everything but butter and Vivaporu (known by non-Latinos as Vick's VapoRub) actually has the medicinal strength of an entire first aid kit in one jar.

Yup, Latina mothers -- and their excessive practicality -- are great at keeping you on your toes.

On the upside, growing up Latino also meant flan for dessert, the unforgettable scent of Fabuloso, and those little strawberry hard candies your mother never bought but still managed to always have on hand.
