Co-parenting after a divorce is trying for any couple, but, according to new reports, communications between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have almost completely broken down since their highly publicized divorce in 2012.

Gossip Cop claims they can confirm OK! Magazine’s most recent cover story, which alleges that not only has Cruise not seen his daughter in more than three years, but, according to one of the website’s sources, they haven’t even spoken.

Cruise and Holmes split after five years of marriage, with the “Dawson’s Creek” actress assuming primary custody of their daughter that allowed for “generous visitation” privileges for Cruise. Reports at the time suggested that Holmes ended the marriage in fear that the Church of Scientology would attempt to abduct Suri and further indoctrinate her into the notoriously private organization. Cruise was later forced to admit during a deposition that one of the reasons Holmes divorced him was to protect Suri from Scientology. (Cruise filed a $50 million defamation suit against OK! Magazine’s parent company, Bauer Media, over allegations he “abandoned” his daughter. The suit was settled out of court in 2013 for an undisclosed amount.)

According to Gossip Cop, Cruise could have easily seen Suri over the years, but never initiated contact, even when he was in the same vicinity as his daughter.

Since their split, Suri, who was once a staple of tabloid magazines, has thankfully remained out of the public eye, living with Holmes in New York City.

In fact, the preteen popped up at a performance of the Broadway play “Finding Neverland” in early August. Smiling alongside Holmes and the cast and crew backstage, Suri looks like the spitting image of her actor father.

Cruise currently has a slate of movies in the works, including a “Jack Reacher” sequel and the highly anticipated “Mummy” reboot, marking what might be a career comeback of sorts for the actor.

Meanwhile, Holmes is set to play Jacqueline Kennedy for the second time in the miniseries “The Kennedys: After Camelot.”
