Tom Hardy Finally Comments On His Old Myspace Photos Going Viral

"I've got no shame."

Earlier this summer, BuzzFeed's roundup of action star Tom Hardy's old Myspace photos got over 1.3 million views, and brought his love of topless selfies to our collective attention.

Perhaps forgetting that we should all be so lucky to find something we love -- even if that means that something is taking borderline naked selfies while making the much-maligned duckface -- the Internet believed the resurfacing of these photos would become the bane of the actor's existence.

Instead, Hardy wasn't even mad, maxing his rightfully earned self-assurance in an interview with Sky News.

"I've got no shame about my MySpace photos, especially the one of me in my underpants, which is a glorious photo of a man in his natural habitat," Hardy said.

Bringing up the photo where he's in his "tighty-whitey budgie smugglers," Hardy told Sky News, "In America, they say, 'You should be ashamed of this,' but I’m actually not remotely ashamed -- that is me in my natural habitat, thank you."

In some nod to humility, Hardy admitted that he "might not be an Adonis, but I like to think of myself as an Adonis in that photo."

In 2006 -- almost a decade ago now, but around the time Hardy was posting pictures on Myspace -- an oracle sang, "Even though the gods are crazy / even though the stars are blind / If you show me real love, baby / I'll show you mine."

As Hardy's myth-inspired words call to mind this Parisian chorus, remember you should feel nothing but envy for how blind this action star is to the ridiculousness of his old photos. They resonate because they're probably more real than anything you're willing to show in return.

Now it's time to show your own.
