In an attempt to promote the upcoming “Wonder Woman” action movie, Warner Bros. partnered with the organic food brand Think Thin to send a very conflicting message to women.
An image of Think Thin snacks on display with a Wonder Woman promotion made the rounds on Twitter last week, causing people on social media to wonder why an action movie with a powerful woman lead would also promote the dangerous idea that thin is synonymous with healthy.

Twitter users were, as usual, quick to react, with many calling out Warner Bros. and DC Comics for the conflicting message:
When you see the new Wonder Woman movie partnering with some brand called "think thin"

Waiting for internet reaction like pic.twitter.com/eGYjUcmjm3
#WonderWoman on goddamn Think Thin bars. Just what women & girls need. Won't be supporting that bullshit @wbpictures. https://t.co/qsLzTEhYqs

@Grocery_HQ @thinkthin Wow I am disgusted. If it was "think healthy" ok maybe but think THIN? Fuck that. Wonder Woman ain't here for body shaming
— Laura Benson (@CrownsAndLace) May 5, 2017
@Grocery_HQ @thinkproducts @thinkthin #WonderWoman partnering with brand titled Think Thin with this ridiculous ideal of thiness is the opposite of empowering @wbpictures

@dcwomenkicknass This enraged me. Male characters marketed to hell & back, Wonder Woman on a diet bar called Think Thin. Unacceptable.

Proof that @DCComics did not make Wonder Woman for women fans or give a fuck about women fans.
