We tend to want things to happen quickly BUT your purpose, your passion whatever it is that you’re striving for whatever you want will not happen overnight. You can’t microwave your success.

Your purpose, your business, your dream life cannot be microwaved.

Let me explain this little analogy…

If you really want a high quality and well-cooked meal you’re not going to put it in the microwave. You’re going to get warm food nonetheless but it’s just not going to have the same quality, the same flavor. It’s just not going to taste as good as if you actually let it cook in the oven.

A purpose or whatever it is that you’re looking for with your business or in your life can not be zapped into a quick aha of instant success. Your purpose, your passion, your success is not something that can be found in a few tries, a few books or a few months. It’s not going to be cooked up in an easy peasy sixty seconds in a microwave nor will it be done in sixty minutes in the oven.

The difference between the microwave and the oven is that the oven takes a good time for your food to cook. As you know, it also takes some work to prepare. Whereas with a microwave you just throw that ready-made bitch in and it cooks in less than five minutes depending on whatever the hell it is. The result will probably bring you some satisfaction but it just won’t be as fulfilling.

There are tons and tons of “businesses in a box” or the false promises of easy to replicate strategies and models, there are a ton of seemingly empty promises of getting rich quick schemes and falsehoods of things happening overnight or in a matter of a few weeks. You can also just regurgitate without adding your own unique opinions and your own wisdom and life lessons.

This kind of stuff will leave you feeling sick (if you have any ounce of integrity around what you are doing) and you will soon discover there is nothing that will be easy.

You have to drop the sodium laden junk, the frozen dinners, the bullshit of certain gurus and the myth of the easy get rich fast overnight successors.

The idea of wanting something really quickly is something so many people want and crave. Whether is money, fame, success, attention or a quick meal. It’s all over the internet and you hear it all the time if you listen in to conversations. People want things rapidly without really putting in the actual time it takes. It’s why selling to pain points is all over. It’s why there are masterminds and $10,000 a month coaches. It’s why there are so many obsessions with the lottery and fad diets and skinny teas…

You have to get really, really clear and ask yourself if you are after just the fame, the money? Are you after all these like vacations and fancy things. You have to get really clear on what it is that you’re trying to go after, what is it that you’re trying to do because if you really just want quick money there’s a lot of things you could be doing so it’s not so much about just making money it’s more about what your intention is. Are you here to build something or are you here to truly help people? What are you trying to do?

It’s not even just about the money, it’s more than the money. It’s about being of service to others and it’s about doing what you love and what makes you the happiest. This will be different for everyone. Figure out however much money you need to live and what you are able to do for a long time.

Practice cooking and get really good at a dish.

Failures and burned meals will nonetheless occur. You can’t let that stop you. You roll up your sleeves, throw that shit out and start again.

Just because one person makes an amazing meal does not mean that you will be able to replicate it. Everyone has their own unique seasoning or flavor. Be willing to work on finding yours.

It takes time and it takes a lot of practice and dedication.

You can choose to continue to buy the quick fix, the ready-made microwavable meal / business in a box but you just won’t ever find fulfillment. In your heart, your bank account or your belly.
