Fat on Fat Crime is a new epidemic that is sweeping the nation. With all of the prejudice and discrimination that is already going on in the world, who would ever think that Fat people and FORMER Fat People like Designer Karl Lagerfeld, would start taking it upon themselves to commit hideous acts of Random Fat Violence on one another.

I have personally been the victim of two incidents of Fat on Fat Crime, and I am making it my duty to fight this with all of my might! The thought of Fat on Fat Crime has me sick with hunger pains deep down in my soul. Hopefully writing about this will help to ease the pain. If not, Dallas BBQ Sticky Wings will have to do the trick!

The latest incident of Fat on Fat Crime is from Karl Lagerfeld, a former full-figured man, who after losing 92 pounds has obviously forgotten his roots.

Let me catch you up to speed.

After German Magazine Brigette announced that they will no longer use super skinny models in their editorial spreads, Mr. Lagerfeld told Focus Magazine "No one wants to see curvy women," he added "You've got fat mothers with their bags of chips sitting in front of the television and saying that thin models are ugly."

Well, as I sit here eating my chips, writing this I have one thing to say: Hey Karl Lagerfeld, kiss my FAT A##!

My first issue with this is that Karl Lagerfeld himself is not the smallest berry on the tree. As a matter of fact, he looks like he wears a size 14/16 at Lane Bryant. I would never be able to date Karl Lagerfeld for fear that he and I would show up wearing the same fabulous animal print top from Ashley Stewart. It's weird to me that he designs clothes that even HE can not fit! It does not make any sense.

Also, seeing that Karl Lagerfeld is a gay man, you would think that he would totally understand how hurtful discrimination is. How would he feel if someone said that gay men have no place on the pages of fashion magazines? I wonder.

Lastly, normal sized, curvy and plus sized are all different things. I am so glad magazines like Glamour, Essence and Latina have made great efforts to include women of ALL sizes on their pages! Even Marie Claire has a new plus size fashion column by stylist Ashley Falcon. YEAH!!!

Luckily for me there are fashion lines, including independent designers as well as magazines that are embracing curvy and plus sized women. We have a long way to go, but here are some of my favorite people who believe that ALL women, including curvy girls, should look fabulous!
