It's an old joke: "I only read books with pictures." In reality, the visual is the keeper of the attention span -- especially on your computer screen. That's why Pinterest has taken middle class America by storm, granting people noncommittal, endless window shopping for gorgeous homes, delicious meals, designer purses and even political fodder.

A social medium doesn't get far these days without a brand name sinking their teeth into it. In the old days, it took convincing to get corporations to test the social waters. Now? There's hardly a question. While rockstar clothing lines and magazines have found the major success in Pinterest land, politics has a little pocket of its own.
