Plum Sauced Pork Tenderloin
1 of 14
Amanda & Merrill's notes:

The plum sauce seamlessly blends elements of jam (ginger and sugar) and pickling (mustard seeds and vinegar). And when made with red plums from the Greenmarket, it makes for a vivid and glistening sauce. After searing the tenderloins, you begin basting the meat with the sauce. You want the sauce to caramelize without burning, which takes some finesse -- don't worry if you don't get it right the first time. After grilling and letting the meat rest (an important step), you slice it and serve it with the sauce, a combination we loved. But make sure you taste the meat without the sauce, too -- the tart plum glaze on the edges is sublime. - A&M

I've been oven roasting "barbie cabbages" ever since my kids were little....and surprisingly they were always the #1 most requested veggie on our menu. Kids waaay grown now, still grilling those barbie cabbages ... for the grandkids.

I love grilled oysters! We melt some butter and add an equal amount of salsa...Costco's Kirkland brand works great, and baste the meat with that. Oh, it's good!

Do you shuck them first or do you put them on the grille to open them? I might try it.

Easier to shuck them first because the shells are HOT off the grill and you need waterproof mitts! I learned from experience. But either way works.

Great ideas and great suggestions. I can't wait to try the pork tenderloin with plum sauce. I love to grill vegetables with a spice rub. My favorite grilled vegetable recipe is

.Some wonderful options! I'll try most of them this summer. Another great but unusual choice for the grill is fresh beets, peeled, sliced 1/2 inch thick and brushed with a little evoo and lemon juice then grilled five minutes on a side and finished with a pinch of sea salt and fresh ground black pepper.

I created a very similar yellow squash and zucchini recipe last weekend. I did not use any rosemary and used fig balsamic vinegar. They were delicious. This weekend we will try the brussel sprouts.
