Dear Dr. George,

How could I make myself look better or more appealing to my boyfriend (without acting and looking like a total slapper). Also, without changing who I am or how I look (e.g., hair colour or skin tone).

---Silly Me in London

Dear Silly Me,

You don't need to be a slapper (a.k.a., houchie mama) to keep your man excited about you. You may not believe this, but men are not spineless creatures, wallowing in the shallow end of women's beauty. Really! I know you're laughing out loud, but I'm serious.

Yes, of course, men are visual beings. Seinfeld dumped more than few women for lacking superficial feminine charms. Man hands aside, most guys look for a second layer of something in a women to keep us interested. That could be a special talent. Think cooking, writing, painting, skateboarding. Anything that you can do better than us is a turn on.

Shopping doesn't count.

I once had a girlfriend that was a pool shark. It was a small thing, but I admired that quality in her and it was an additional reason why she was attractive to me.

What do you do well? Whatever it is, flaunt it in front of your guy. He'll soon realize you're more than meets the eye.
