Midway through the month of January, our wardrobes could certainly use a little pick-me-up. And what better way to breathe some life into our black-and-grey outfits than some bright and bold prints?

Lucky for us, the most recent pre-fall collections were full of graphic patterns galore, and this season takes them to a whole new level--from multi-tone polka dots to blown-out plaids; ditsy florals and graphic leopard. Whether you're rocking them head-to-toe, like these fashion-loving ladies below, or mixing them into your wardrobe one piece at a time, check out the prints you need to try right now.

Blown-Out Plaid:

Instead of the clean lines of gingham, tartan, and the like, try a more blown-out twist on the trend this year. This '90s-inspired print brings with it memories of grunge, but looks equally great when applied to tailored silhouettes like dresses and coats.

Ditsy Florals:

Minimize your blooms this season and opt for tiny ditsy florals. While it's a given that feminine styles like skirts and dresses look awesome in a Liberty print, try the pattern with sportier shapes, like bomber jackets and even sneakers.

Graphic Leopard:

Don't hold back when it comes to animal prints in 2016. Pick a statement piece, like a mid-length coat, and choose one in a strong graphic pattern. It's a head-turner, for sure, but if you're going to do it, do it.

Multi-Tone Polka Dots:

Polka dots are back for 2016, and they are much more polished than in years past--slightly larger in scale than an understated pin-dot, but not quite that oversized (a good rule-of-thumb is to match the size of a quarter). Seek the print for weekend or eveningwear!

Bright and Bold Stripes:

When it comes to stripes this year, go for color. Daunting as it may sound, a classic pattern like graphic stripes are an easy way to mix brighter hues into your wardrobe without feeling over the top.
