Recently, I sat down with the Minnesota Vikings' Adrian Peterson for more than an hour long television interview. At only 23-years-old, Peterson is arguably the NFL's best running back. Currently leading the league in rushing, Peterson came into this season after a freshman campaign which included Rookie of the Year honors and being named Pro Bowl MVP.

Peterson's athletic accomplishments are remarkable; however, not for his records, even though he already has many, but rather for the adversity he's overcome.

In this NBC Sports edition of "In Depth," Peterson candidly talks at length about two of his brothers being killed and his father serving eight years in jail.

Here are highlights from the interview:

Peterson on Family Tragedies:

Peterson on His Father Serving Eight Years in Jail:

Peterson on Being in Love with Halle Berry:

Peterson on a Future Modeling Career and Hunting Rabbits:

Peterson on Wanting to Be the Best Running Back Ever:

Peterson on the Vikings:
