Last week, protestors held a rally at the DNC to voice their grievance of the DNC limiting Democratic candidates to six debates.

Ben Doernberg, the organizer of the "Allow Debate" rally, said that DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz's decision to limit the candidates and punish them if they participate in unsanctioned events is undemocratic.

It was a lively protest with around 100 people in attendance; with chants of "We need debate" throughout the rally, as well a member of the rally performing his own original song. They believed these limitations didn't give candidates, namely Bernie Sanders and Martin O'Malley, enough exposure to broadcast their message to the American people.

Millennials were dissatisfied with Chairwoman Wasserman Schultz's refusal to budge on this issue, believing it was in an effort to retain Hilary Clinton's lead for the Democratic nomination. O'Malley himself has called the debate schedule "rigged" and has said, "Is this how the Democratic Party selects its nominee?"

The crowd also believed that because the Republican Party has more debates, it gives them an advantage over the Democrats. Already, there have been two Republican debates, and the first Democratic debate is a little less than a month away, October 13th. The timing of the debates were also questioned, with dates like Saturday November 14th and Saturday December 19th the viewership is expected to be low.
