Video Poem: Light House

As a poet, I naturally find words, sounds, images, and phrases inspiring. Equally, I adore technology, and how it allows me to further play with pace, tone, and concept. I often make video poems, and thought I'd share one with you this week.

As a poet, I naturally find words, sounds, images, and phrases inspiring. Equally, I adore technology, and how it allows me to further play with pace, tone, and concept. I often make video poems, and thought I'd share one with you this week. When I created this video poem, "Light House," I was thinking about how light is like language. Light and language provide us with direction; they can represent comfort, community, and clarity. The video footage comes from an art exhibit I attended last week called Rooms to Let, in which artists were invited to inhabit the various rooms of a gutted house, and fill them with installations.
