Holy spin doctor! Aflec Insurance is holding open auditions for a new voice of their corporate icon after giving comedian Gilbert Gottfried the boot when he tweeted: "Japan is really advanced. They don't go to the beach. The beach comes to them." (Weren't his 9/11 jokes hailed as part of the healing process?)

But that's not going to silence the Alfac duckwhen it comes to selling you auto insurance. Glossing over the incident, here's what Aflac posted on their website: "Our beloved duck has lost his voice. Think you have what it takes to be the new voice of the Aflac Duck? Take a quack at it."

(Aflac forgot to mention in the ad that their beloved duck lost his voice for tweeting, "I just split up with my girlfriend, but like the Japanese say, 'They'll be another one floating by any minute now.")

Open auditions for the next auto insurance spokesperson might be considered an invitation to crazy town. With the legendary Gilbert Gottfried canned from the role, here are a few strong contenders for the next corporate voice of Aflac.
