My friend Lolis Eric Elie writes a column in Friday's T-P that follows up on my outrage about the short shelf life the national media accorded the story of the Corps' of Engineers admitting responsibility for the flooding of New Orleans. He watched all last Sunday's TV yak shows, and notes the variety of stories they deemed more significant than an arm of the US Government admitting culpability for wrecking parts of a major American city. And, like me, he can only wonder why.
